Wobbly Life: Mission High Score Chase!
A seaside race track with tick marks, a scoreboard full of close scores and a winners’ podium: five missions train everything about comparing and ordering numbers. Can you become the high score champion?
What you practise
- Number before and after: neighbors of numbers like 2,999, 50,000 and 100,000.
- Greater or less: < and > with tricky digit swaps, sorting from smallest to greatest and back, digit cards and numbers in between.
- Reading number lines: find the small step first, then read A, B and C, on four lines from 0–200 up to 0–100,000.
- Track pro: mark numbers with arrows, find the halfway point and complete sequences with equal steps.
- Test check: a lightning round, a number line, number riddles and a traffic-light self-check.
In the pack: five A4 mission pages (one mission a day, about 15 to 20 minutes each) and one page of answers with typical mistakes and tips for grown-ups. Every page comes in English (US) and German.
Interactive version: check every answer in your browser, in English or German. It includes arrows you place on the number lines by tapping, and an ordering trainer with neighbors, < or >, greatest and smallest, number lines and halfway points, with a hint for every mistake and a 10-problem test. The page contains its own images and fonts and works offline; answers are saved only in your browser and never sent anywhere.
This pack is one of five topic packs that go together: times tables to 20, square numbers, tally charts and bar graphs, ordering numbers and rounding. For a mixed review of all five topics, try Mission Number Island.
For printing, use A4 at 100%. Keep the answer key separate until the missions are done.
